Fabrics, Product Quality, and Prices – PULL & BEAR vs. H&M. Which One is Better?

In today’s fast-paced fashion industry, people are looking for affordable and trendy clothing options. Two of the most popular fast fashion brands are PULL & BEAR and H&M. You’ll see their stores in every big Mall around the world.

Both brands offer a wide range of clothing options at reasonable prices, but when it comes to fabrics and product quality, which one is better?

This article aims to compare the two brands and help you make an informed decision when it comes to choosing between PULL & BEAR and H&M (I know that’s a lot of “&s).

Fabrics and Quality, Where are Made – PULL & BEAR

When it comes to fast fashion retailers, Pull & Bear is one that often gets overlooked. As a brand owned by popular Spanish company Inditex, which also owns Zara, Bershka, and Massimo Dutti, Pull & Bear tends to attract a younger demographic than its sibling brands.

The brand is known for its trendy and affordable clothing options. When it comes to fabrics and quality, PULL & BEAR uses a mixture of natural and synthetic fabrics in their clothing. They also use different types of fabrics for different clothing items to ensure that the clothing is comfortable and durable.

Pull and Bear clothing is produced in various countries, including China, Bangladesh, Portugal, Laos, Myanmar, Pakistan, Turkey, Morocco, India, and Vietnam.

In my closet, most of the items are from Bangladesh and Pakistan.

So, is Pull and Bear good quality?

I’ve been shopping at Pull & Bear on and off for a decade now, so let me share my thoughts on the quality you can expect based on my experiences.

The answer to this is – it depends. There are different product lines, using different materials, some are 100% cotton, while some are 100% polyester.

Most of Pull & Bear’s tops, dresses and pants are made from cotton, linen or lightweight blends that feel soft against the skin. They aren’t the thickest or most durable fabrics, so you won’t be able to wear the same item season after season. But they hold up pretty well through multiple washes if you air dry them. My favorite pieces from Pull & Bear, like slouchy knit tops and midi skirts, still look great after 2-3 years of wear with proper care. I’ve found the denim to be especially well-made too – sturdy without being stiff.

Overall, my assessment is that Pull & Bear offers good – not great – quality for the price you pay.

Fabrics, Quality, Where are Made – H&M

H&M is a Swedish fashion brand that was founded in 1947. Despite from that similar to Pull&Bear, they make most of their stuff in Asia, but also in other countries you wouldn’t expect – Bulgaria, Cambodia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Ethiopia, France, Germany, United Kingdom, Hungary

As a longtime H&M shopper, I’ve had mixed experiences over the years. Some clothes held up great, getting worn multiple times a week for several seasons before frayed hems or thinning material became issues. Other pieces seemed to fall apart after just a handful of washes. So I started polling friends for their takes, and looking more closely at reviews online. Here’s what I gathered about H&M’s hit-or-miss quality reputation.

On the plus side, H&M is definitely great for on-trend, affordable styles. Since they aim to have the newest looks available immediately, you can step out in this season’s hottest print or silhouette without breaking the bank. And some basic items like plain tees, tanks and skinny jeans really do seem to last if you take care of them properly. People who air dry and avoid the dryer reported getting the longest use out of certain H&M pieces.

So in summary – H&M is great for on-trend looks on a budget, but quality is inconsistent and not meant for frequent long-term wearing.

Price Comparison – PULL & BEAR vs. H&M

At PULL & BEAR, you’ll find a wide range of clothing, accessories, and footwear at affordable prices. The brand is known for its trendy and casual style, making it a popular choice for those who want to keep up with the latest fashion trends without breaking the bank.

On the other hand, H&M offers a more premium shopping experience, with a wider selection of clothing and accessories for both men and women. While their prices may be higher than PULL & BEAR, they offer a greater variety of styles, from casual to formal, and often have more high-quality materials in their clothing.

When it comes to prices, PULL & BEAR is more affordable than H&M. However, this lower price point comes at the cost of the quality of the clothing. H&M’s clothing may be more expensive, but the higher quality of the fabrics and construction results in clothing that is more durable and long-lasting.

This of course depends on the line and models, as there are basic and premium items in both stores.

Value for Money: PULL & BEAR vs. H&M

When it comes to value for money, both PULL & BEAR and H&M offer a good mix of quality and affordability. However, there are a few key differences to consider.

At PULL & BEAR, you’ll find a wide range of budget-friendly clothing, footwear, and accessories. While the quality may not be as high as H&M, the prices are hard to beat. If you’re looking for affordable and trendy clothing options, PULL & BEAR is definitely worth checking out.

H&M offers a more premium shopping experience, with a wider selection of clothing, footwear, and accessories made from higher-quality materials. While the prices may be higher than PULL & BEAR, you’re getting more bang for your buck in terms of quality and variety.
